Prysmian provides cable services for Tesla Australia's energy storage program


Frederick Persson, chief executive officer of Prysmian Australia, said Prysmian will provide cable services to the world's largest energy storage battery factory.


It is reported that Tesla and the South Australian government, the French company Neoen cooperation in South Australia to build 100 megawatts of lithium-ion battery energy storage plant, which is currently the world's largest energy storage plant.


The energy storage facility is located near the Hornsdale wind farm built by Neoen and is connected to the South Australian AC transmission network.


Once put into use, the energy storage battery plant will greatly enhance the reliability and stability of the South Australian energy supply, helping to reduce the growing electricity prices.


Frederick Persson said, "We are very pleased to be involved in this historic project and we are committed to contributing to the development of energy in South Australia, which currently offers 69 km single core 33 kV cable for the Hornsdale wind farm and Multi - core 33 kV cable.
